Nagoya Sales Division II Sales Department/
serving concurrently as a member of Tomoko Team Risa Ise (joined Kashikey in 2005)
I've been a sales assistant for a long time and since about three years ago, I've also held the position of brand manager for Tomoko Kodera (hereafter Tomoko). My work as a sales assistant includes everything from talking to clients on the telephone and arranging for repairs to placing orders, inspecting products, and delivering goods. Sometimes I go on business trips with salespeople or sell jewelry directly to customers at exhibitions.
As an assistant, I aim to take a certain approach so that when a request is made of me from a sales rep, I make an estimation of what the next step will be, and complete the task above and beyond what was asked of me. When I hear the words "you helped me" or "thank you," I feel my work is worthwhile. Of course I reliably respond to clients when they make an inquiry of me, but I also suggest alternative ways of doing things so that they know then can depend on me, which makes me sense my own growth.
When I meet customers at exhibitions or other places, the thing that makes me happiest is when they tell me, "Thank you." At one exhibition, a customer expressed her thanks by saying, "I got to spend an enjoyable time with you and buy something lovely. Let's take a picture together as a memento," which is something I will never forget.
I also work on branding for Tomoko by setting up our corner at exhibitions and suggesting products to be featured in direct-mail advertisements and pamphlets. And I stay in close contact with other staff within the company, taking action as a team.
I have loved Tomoko from the very beginning. I've been a sales assistant for a long time, and just as I was beginning to wonder how I would be able to grow in the future, I had the good fortune to be asked to start working as part of the Tomoko Team as well.
The designer Tomoko Kodera has won prizes at international grand prix and the jewelry she creates under her Tomoko brand not only has glamorous designs, but is also comfortable to wear and enhances one's features with beautiful lines. Customers who try on her pieces often let out gasps of delight. I would absolutely love to have many people experience the comfort and beauty of this jewelry as it hugs the lines of the body, which you'll understand the first time you try it on.
It's my wish that Tomoko becomes more widely recognized than it currently is. In order to accomplish that, I think that steadily engaging in activities to increase fans one by one is important. Beginning with customer service that is aimed at each individual, I then want to expand the brand little by little while being active on Instagram and other platforms.
