"Mazal U'Bracha"
In the world of diamond transactions, there is a unique custom of praising one another
At the site where diamond transactions are made, when negotiations are completed, brokers and buyers say to each other, "Mazal U'Bracha," which means "good luck and good fortune" ("mazal" means "fortune" in Hebrew). Regardless of each person's nationality, this phrase is used throughout the whole world and transactions are completed based on whether both parties find each other to be trustworthy or not, without the creation of contracts. During negotiations, one’s transaction partner is strictly judged based on, of course, the company he or she is affiliated with, but also based on whether that person is deemed trustworthy as an individual.
